Police in Eastchester honored one of their own while giving back to the community during their 30th annual "Pasta Night" on Saturday.
The community came together to raise money for the Michael Frey Scholarship Foundation, which helps local high school seniors pay for college.
Officer Frey was shot and killed by a sniper while responding to a shots‑fired call 30 years ago.
"First, of course, we remember the memory of our lost brother Michael Frey, and secondly, we pay respect to all those families who've lost loved ones as well in the line of duty, and thirdly, we pay a lot of respect to our existing officers who are out there every day," said Eastchester Town Supervisor Anthony Colavita.
Organizers said they raised about $75,000 at last year's "Pasta Night."
