A 9-year-old is recovering after being struck by a BB gun round in Spring Valley.
The incident happened Wednesday on Hoyt Street. Police say the boy was walking past a vehicle when he heard a loud noise and felt pain near his hip. The child suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police later arrested and charged a 24-year-old Spring Valley man in connection with the incident.
