The case against a Putnam County deputy sheriff charged in a domestic incident has concluded.

Kevin Osika, 43, was charged with assault and harassment following an alleged physical altercation with his wife. The harassment charge was dismissed in May.

On Wednesday, the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office said the case has concluded. However, because the proceedings are sealed under state law, prosecutors said they cannot comment on any aspect of the case.

The Putnam Sheriff's Office would only say that Osika remains suspended with pay.
