Authorities arrested a man wanted in connection with multiple sexual assaults in Putnam Valley after they say he fled the country more than four years ago.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says 34-year-old Cesar Hernandez Rodriguez, a Mexican citizen, fled the country shortly after assaulting two women back in 2022.

He was recently taken into custody in Toronto and brought back to New York.

Hernandez Rodriguez faces multiple felony charges, including predatory sexual assault and rape.
