A White Plains man is facing a 16‑count indictment after prosecutors say he raped a woman inside a stairwell at the White Plains City Center.

According to court papers, the woman was unconscious during the alleged attack, which prosecutors say happened last month.

Authorities say the incident was captured on surveillance video.

Prosecutors identified the suspect as 22‑year‑old Xavier Fonseca‑Overton, who is charged with multiple counts of rape and sexual abuse.

Police say the victim knew the suspect.
