A Putnam County man has pleaded guilty to charges involving child sexual abuse material.

Federal authorities say 56-year-old John Towers admitted to placing hidden cameras inside a bathroom at a park to secretly record children.

Investigators say the devices captured footage of victims inside the facility.

During a search of Towers’ home, authorities say they recovered more than 800 videos showing women and girls using a bathroom.

Officials also say Towers downloaded child sexual abuse material from the internet.

He now faces sentencing in February.
