Multiple people were injured in separate violent incidents overnight in Rockland County.
Orangetown police say one person was shot in Nyack. Officers responded to reports of gunfire outside the Nyack Plaza Apartment Complex on Depew Avenue around midnight, where they found a man lying in the grass with several gunshot wounds to his body.
Nyack Ambulance Corps and Rockland paramedics responded to the scene, and the victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries.
Authorities say the shooter fled the scene before police arrived.
Orangetown police are investigating the shooting.
Meanwhile, in Spring Valley, crews from the Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps responded to a fight shortly before 1 a.m.
Responders found several people injured, including some with stab wounds and others with head injuries.
The fight reportedly happened near the Jay Street Park.
Two victims were taken to Westchester Medical Center in critical but stable condition. Another was transported to Nyack Hospital.
Police continue to investigate both incidents.
