A weak line of scattered showers will be moving toward the region between 10 p.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday. A quick downpour is possible but mainly up in the Catskills of Ulster County into Sullivan County. Behind this line in showers will be a wind shift, taking the winds from the southwest to the northwest.

This change in wind direction will bring about a touch of a cooler feeling for Wednesday and a little more so for Thursday. While May begins on a dry note on Thursday, clouds will be increasing through the day.

A storm system heads toward the Northeast overnight Thursday into Friday. It will bring a round of rain for Friday morning, with the middle of the day being mostly cloudy, warmer and some humidity building in the air.

A threat of storms is possibly coming our way Friday night, feeding off the warmth and humidity.

As the system moves through the region, a part of it will slow down and linger for Saturday. There will be mostly cloudy skies with on-and-off rain through the day.

But at least the whole weekend won't be unsettled. Sunday looks nicer and brighter than Saturday, with breezy winds at times.
