Warmth, humidity and chance for storms on the way

Friday will be a warmer day with highs getting up into the upper 70s to low 80s. There will also be a muggier feeling in the air. This will be the first true day of the season of summer-like humidity trying to come in. You may be enticed to turn your A/Cs on, if you haven't done so already for the season.

Friday evening sees a few isolated storms coming through, towards 7-9 p.m. Those storms could be on the strong side. Overnight Friday into Saturday has a few scattered showers coming along the way as well.

Saturday will start off warm and feeling a touch muggy. There will be mostly sunny skies at first then by midday, rain and storms will build up. There is a chance some of those storms could be strong to severe through the afternoon to evening hours across the Hudson River. Any storms that do turn strong to severe could produce damaging gusty winds and small hail.

Stormy activity will back down overnight into Sunday morning. However, there will be rain showers on and off through the day on Sunday and that threat could last into the middle of next week.

SATURDAY: STORM WATCH (PM) - Mostly cloudy through the day with a threat of rain and storms in the afternoon to evening hours. Highs: mid to upper 70s. Lows: upper 50s to low 60s.

SUNDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH - Mostly cloudy with a shower chance. Highs: mid to upper 60s. Lows: low to mid-50s.

MONDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH - CINCO DE MAYO - Mostly cloudy with a shower chance and a breezy wind. Highs: low 60s. Lows: upper 40s to low 50s.

TUESDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH - Mostly cloudy with a shower chance and a breezy wind. Highs: low to mid-60s. Lows: low to mid-50s.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy with a shower chance. Highs: upper 60s to low 70s. Lows: low 50s

THURSDAY: Mix of sun and clouds. Highs: upper 60s to low 70s. Lows: upper 40s to low 50s.
