A West Harrison resident accused of sexually assaulting a child in Connecticut was arrested earlier this month, according to the Darien Police Department.

Authorities say they received a report about the assault in July.

Following an investigation, they obtained an arrest warrant for 43-year-old Daniel Ceglio.

Officers from the White Plains Police Department took him into custody on Oct. 16 and had him returned to Darien police on Oct. 21.

He was processed for charges including sexual assault and illegal sexual contact with a minor.

After failing to post his $150,000 bond, he was transferred to Stamford Superior Court.

Authorities say they are not releasing further details regarding the case due to the victim’s age.
