A man is facing charges for alleged illegal dumping in Rockland County.

State environmental officers say the driver of a truck illegally dumped a massive pile of solid waste near Dunderberg Mountain in Bear Mountain State Park, then tried to take off.

Officers stopped the driver before he could leave the area.

An investigation found the load included dirt mixed with bricks, plastics and shards of glass.

The driver is now facing multiple charges.
