It's a beautiful start to the weekend with decreasing clouds by the afternoon and high temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. The warmest neighborhoods will be in the lower Hudson Valley.

Clouds will return tonight with mostly cloudy skies Sunday. Sunday is mostly cloudy, but a touch warmer with highs in the upper 50s.

Showers are possible in the afternoon in the upper Hudson Valley. Heavy rain will move in across the rest of the region Sunday evening after 7 PM.

Rain is expected Sunday evening and into Monday morning and will be heavy at times with a few rumbles of thunder possible. Up to 1" of rain is expected.

Behind the rain, a period of wintry mix is expected in the upper Hudson Valley with a rush of chilly weather for Monday. Little to no accumulation is expected.

High temperatures will be in the 40s on Monday and in the 20s on Tuesday morning. Then temperatures rebound close to 50 degrees for the end of the work week.

A few rain showers will return on Thursday evening and Friday morning and could also include wintry mix in the upper Hudson Valley with minor to no snow accumulation.
