More than a year after a 10-year-old Ellenville girl was found unresponsive inside her home and later died, State Police say her mother has been charged with killing her.

Police arrested Angelica Sullivan, 30, of Ellenville, on Thursday and charged her with second-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Kathleen Pulido.

Investigators say Kathleen was found unresponsive at a home on Park Street in Ellenville on Aug. 18, 2025. She was taken to Ellenville Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

At the time, State Police said the circumstances surrounding the child’s death were under investigation.

More than a year later, authorities have not publicly said how Kathleen died or released details about what investigators say led them to Sullivan.

State Police said Sullivan was arraigned in the Town of Wawarsing Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail.

News 12 has reached out to the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office for more information about the case, including what led to the murder charge.

The investigation remains ongoing.
