An Elmsford father of six is in the running for a national title celebrating dads who do it all.
Charles Mack, a husband and father to six children, is competing in the national “Super Dad Competition.”
He says growing up in a large family and watching his own father consistently show up for him and his siblings helped shape what being a great father and husband means to him.
For Charles Mack, much of that comes down to simply being there for his children.
“When I'm home, whether I'm taking care of the children or doing some kind of activity in the home, that they know that I'm there with them and that they can come to me and I can help them with their homework, and I can, you know, just be there as their support. So that's what it's about, about being present,” he said.
Charles Mack is currently in the Top 15 and competing for the No. 1 spot. Voting closes Thursday, with Mack hoping to advance to the next round.
The winner receives $25,000 and a feature in an Ace Hardware commercial.
