A helicopter made an emergency landing on an athletic field at Rye Neck High School.

The chopper apparently had some type of problem and touched down Tuesday afternoon at the school in Rye.

Police say the pilot was the only one aboard and was not hurt.

First responders arrived on the scene to make sure everything was safe.

An investigation is underway to determine what caused the helicopter’s problem.
