A man was arrested after smashing through the front doors of a Monroe Target with a baseball bat while the store was closed.

State police say 43-year-old Ross Gibson was taken into custody inside the Target on Thursday night just before midnight.

Gibson did not steal anything, but he was found with an illegal number of drugs on him, according to officials.
