New information has been revealed about an individual seen on video being pursued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials Monday in Hillcrest.

The Department of Homeland Security says the man is a criminal illegal alien from Ecuador. He is charged with two counts of DWI.

The scene of his arrest on Mirror Lake Road caused concern among neighbors that morning.

The Ramapo Police Department said it learned about the ICE operation after it took place.

Police said they were not involved in the operation or the arrest.
