Drone footage is giving a new look at how emergency crews battled a massive fire in Ossining that was sparked by a lightning strike, leaving behind significant damage.

That fire happened in early August at the Parth Knolls apartment complex.

"We could see the huge flames coming across and see smoke in the night sky. It was pretty crazy," said Tom Hoyt, who lives nearby.

Dozens of fire departments responded to help battle the blaze. Drone footage from the Ossining Police Department shows how extensive an operation that was.

"Nine individuals, officers and firefighters alike, ran into the building and got everybody out. There was an amazing coordinated response," said Ossining Town Supervisor Elizabeth Feldman.

No one was hurt, according to officials, but the damage was major.

"You just lose everything," said Ossining resident Harriet Goldin.

Goldin lived in the building where the fire happened.

"People have been kind. Everyone on the town board, everyone has been there for us, our landlord has bent over backwards," Goldin told News 12.

On Monday, she moved into a new home. It's in the same complex, just next door to where she previously lived.

"It's really starting over, but we'll do it gradually. The thing is, we're all healthy and safe, and that's all that matters," said Goldin.
