A Newburgh man has pleaded guilty to drug and gun charges.
Alton Junior, 42 was arrested in July after police discovered cocaine, fentanyl, two loaded guns and over $5,000 in cash inside his home.
The arrest was preceded by a long-term drug trafficking investigation.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said “By disrupting the flow of narcotics into our communities, proactive law enforcement investigations bring dangerous offenders to justice while making and keeping our streets safe.”
Under a plea agreement, prosecutors expect Junior to be sentenced to nine years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
Junior pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a controlled substance and attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
