A truck fire damaged the siding of multiple homes Thursday morning in the Nyack area of Rockland County.
The fire broke out around 10:30 a.m. on Forest Ridge Road.
Officials said the truck caught fire while backing into a driveway.
"He just reported that when he backed in the driveway, smoke started emanating from the engine compartment and it went from there. No other reasons. The vehicle was not overheating at the time," said Central Nyack Fire Chief Michael Healy.
The flames damaged the siding of some nearby homes.
Officials said the fire did not spread inside any of the homes.
"Neighboring resident was hurt, not due to the fire…she fell and got injured," Healy told News 12.
No other serious injuries were reported.
