A gun violence prevention conference will return for its second year.
The Youth Shelter of Westchester will host its now annual stop gun violence conference called "Beyond the Bullet."
The free event will take place Friday at the Westchester County Center.
Organizers say the event is designed to keep the conversation going on how to stop gun violence. This year's theme is emotional safety is public safety.
"What we're trying to address here with the conference is really understanding that we have to talk about emotional safety, the community, the quality of life, the school district, the system, how are people feeling when we talk about public safety," says Joanne Dunn, executive director of Youth Shelter Program of Westchester.
News 12's Tara Rosenblum will moderate this year's fireside chat.
