A heavy police response was triggered in Orange County after reports of a man possibly brandishing a gun at a residential complex in the town of Wallkill.

The incident happened Monday night on East Main Street, where town police, state police, and sheriff’s deputies responded and were seen armed with long guns.

A resident of the multi‑family home told a News 12 crew that the encounter happened when he drove into the parking lot and was approached by another resident who appeared to be holding a gun.

No shots were fired during the incident.

Officials said no one was injured.
